Is food making you sick? MRT food sensitivity test can help

I was perusing facebook as any good stalker does and came across this link on Mike Hoffman's page regarding the MRT test being on the news. Of course I have to share this link as we offer the MRT test, have been for a year now and our clients experience great success with it. Aahhh, I just love basking in the knowledge that we are ahead of mainstream and part of what I believe is going to be a HUGE movement in nutrition and how people eat - Food sensitivity testing and personalized nutrition plans.
I totally blame the MRT for having a fabulous pregnancy at the ripe old age of 41. Let me define fabulous so you know I am not exaggerating - Never threw up once, didn't crave anything, felt great every single day of all 9 months, kept up with the twenty somethings in the gym and front squatted less than a week before my precious bundle of joy was born. Now of course labor was painful and loong (I'm not gonna lie) but the nurses were all amazed at my calmness, the ability to turn down drugs and lack of swelling during and after birth.
Gluten free and allergen awareness are quickly becoming popular these days and not because they are a passing fad; they are necessity driven. Gluten sensitivity is up 400% and every 10 years the number of people with peanut allergies doubles and 40 years ago they didn't really exist. Our bodies are unable to detox the onslaught of daily toxins and it is catching up with us and fast.
The good news is there is help! A simple blood test called the MRT (Mediator Release Test) can pinpoint exactly which foods are causing inflammation in an individual. The foods may be "healthy" but they are causing an inflammation response in some people which leads to disease. Everyone is so individual; elimination diets just take too long and lack accuracy and IgE testing done by traditional Doctors only tests for an immediate allergen response. Inflammation responses are actually the most dangerous as they are typically not acute and do not always present with obvious symptoms like allergies; however inflammation is involved with all diseases.
It makes perfect sense to reduce inflammation and food related stress on the body and that is EXACTLY what the MRT does.

I am currently doing my MRT immunecleanse right now, on day 7 (until just now I thought I was on day 6, so now I'm super stoked!). Relatively speaking, my Phase 1 foods are quite easy, with a huge huge plus being that I can have whey and cocoa, otherwise I would be super hungry the whole week. I have gone in and out of detox symptoms this whole week and I am going to share some with you. Let me give you some background information first- I am an 8th grade math teacher, track coach and spring sports trainer at my school. Track tryouts started this week and I am also starting up a support group for at-risk girls at my school. So, clearly, stress and myself know each other pretty well. I was very weary going into this week, nervous mainly about being hungry, about the temptations of eating out or things around me, etc. All in all, my MRT cleanse is going pretty good.
On Wednesday (day 4) I experience a huge spike in my bitchiness, for lack of a better word, and was fairly irritable all day long. Scratch that, I've been fairly irritable most of the week. It didn't help that my students were bonkers that day as well (something to do with Leap Day?). But since that day, things have been better. I have noticed a noticeable difference in my energy levels as caffeine was on my yellow, meaning moderately reactive, so I cannot have it for 3 months. I LIVED with a coffee cup in my hand every morning. That has been a big, yet satisfying, adjustment. I have notice that once I am up, I am up. My brain and mind feel clear and I don't necessarily need a stimulant to get me to stop yawning. But to try and offset that, I have been taking ginseng pills in the mornings, since I get up at 5:30 to lift before school.
Maybe it's the weather today, or maybe it's just because I had a long week, but all I want to do on a Saturday is be the laziest person known to man kind. I did go to my weekly yoga this morning and felt pretty lethargic half way through, something not common for me.
The MRT cleanse may be hard, but it is totally worth it. I am very glad tomorrow is the start of phase 2 so I can start adding in new foods because I am very very sick of shrimp now, but I have never been a big seafood person. My health and physical body appearance are my top priorities in my life, so anything to assist those I will try. I have had many tell me that I have a very strong will power, but that's something that comes with time. For instance, I cannot had black pepper for atleast 6 months. So I went through my spice cabinet and "hid" all my spices that contain black pepper. That way, I am not even tempted to have them.
MRT testing takes all the guess work out of what to eat and what to not to eat, specific to YOUR body. Sure, people think I'm crazy and like to talk a little smack about how crazy I am, but who really cares? I look better than them, feel better than them, and are a sure of a hell a ton healthier than them. I have been seriously weightlifting for 3 1/2 years now and have never hurt or strained myself from lifting. And no, I don't lift little girl weights. Why? Because I am conscience about what foods I put in my body, and obviously because I was blessed enough to train under Jarrod and in the same rack with Dawn for many of those years.
I will continue to update as I reintroduce foods back into my system! I can hardly wait for tomorrow- eggs! Woowee!
